The Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Europe—Junior Chapter (ETCC-JC) held its first online European Youth Forum on 14 June. The theme of the forum was "Modern Arts and Culture in Europe and America". Four elite artists across the Atlantic shared their professional views on the development of modern arts. Taipei Representative Office in the UK Education Division Director Dr Nicole Yen-Yi Lee, Economic Division Director Chi-Young Chen, Community Affairs Assistant Director Tiyu Yeh, World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce Honorary President Dong-Ping Jeng, The Council of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in Europe President Cecelia Liu, Honorary President Wilfred Sing, Overseas Community Affairs Council Senior Adviser Michelle Lin and around 50 youths attended the forum.

ETCC-JC President Dr Benny Hsu chaired the forum. The guest speakers are Chinese Arts Now CEO and artistic director An-Ting Chang from Britain, New Asia Chamber Music Society co-founder and artistic director Dr Wei-Yang Andy Lin from the United States, the emerging painter Chih-Lin Yeh from Sweden and the film artist Alice Tseng from the UK.

An-Ting focused on new theatres in the UK, including the success story of Fleabag. Andy shared his experiences in the United States and how he combined Chinese and Western music. Chih-Lin talked about inspirations for her art works. Alice shared her dreams in pursuing a career in film making.

The forum allowed attendees to better understand current developments in arts and culture in the West. We hope that emerging Taiwanese artists can continue to shine across the globe.
