Sam Chen Elected New Chair of the CTCVNJC

The Council of Taiwanese Chambers in Vietnam Junior Chapter(CTCVNJC) held the 6th term 4th Board and Members Representative Meeting and 7th Chair and Chief Supervisor Election Assembly on. In attendance were over 100 persons including Chung Wen-Cheng,Director-General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Ho Chi Minh City, You Kai-Chiuan, Division-Director, Ho Szu-Yi, Secretary, Shen Hsien-Yu, Chair of the Council of Taiwanese Chambers in Vietnam, various representatives of friendly chambers of commerce, chamber of commerce officers, directors and supervisors and members’ representatives.

The CTCVN established a junior organization in 2012. It was officially named Council Of Taiwanese Chambers in Vietnam Junior Chapter (CTCVNJC) in 2013. The aim of this general meeting was to choose the 7th chair and chief supervisor. Through a democratic election, Sam Chen was chosen as chair of the 7th CTCVNJC and Effy Kang was chosen as chief supervisor.

In his speech, director general Chung affirmed the service enthusiasm of CTCVNJC members and welcomed the handover. He said he believes the CTCVNJC will grow under the guidance of its new chair and provide better service to members. He also called on the members to exert an influence in mainstream society, speak out for Taiwan and become a Taiwan-Vietnam exchange platform. 

Sam Chen thanked members for their support and affirmation and expressed the hope of working hard and growing together with the members of CTCVNJC. He pledged to do his best to promote the CTCVNJC’s development and unity. 

A dinner was held after the meeting. Members of the CTCVN and CTCVNJC interacted socially and exchanged experiences and business opportunities amidst a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
